  • Civil engineer with doctorate in hydraulic-environmental engineering, professor at theUniversity of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli", expert in Smart WAter Network (SWAN) and Permeable Adsorbing Barrier (PAB). 
  • Author of over 250 technical-scientific works, published in conference proceedings, Italian and international books and magazines, on the topic of optimizing the management of water resources with particular reference to the management of artificial reservoirs in periods of drought, the reduction of losses, the districting of smart water networks and the design of reactive permeable barriers for the remediation of contaminated underground aquifers, developing heuristic optimization techniques based on genetic algorithms, graph theory, logic fuzzy, neural networks, multi-agent systems, graph theory and complex networks, etc. Furthermore, co-author, together with his research group, of the most read and cited books on contamination and the remediation hypotheses of the contaminated site of Masseria del Pozzo-Schiavi in ​​Giugliano in Campania (NA).
  • Leader of the Working Group SWANSET (Smart WAter Network Sensors and Tools) of the European Water Europe Consortium (which includes over 200 companies, universities and institutions from various European countries and beyond).
  • Designer, inspector and construction manager of civil engineering works, with particular reference to building and hydraulic works.
  • Superordinated from 2016 to 2020 by Prefecture of Naples (pursuant to art. 145, paragraph 1 of Legislative Decree 267/00) in the extraordinary management of the Municipality of Giugliano in Campania with functions of superintendence, collaboration, supervision and control - as well as making proposals, consulting, directing and representing - on the activities of the Managers/Service Managers of the relevant Sectors, with delegations in the Urban Planning and Environment sectors.
  • Councilor from 2006 to 2008 in a technical council of Municipality of Giugliano in Campania with the following mandates: Urban Planning, Environment, Territorial Redevelopment, Integrated Water Service, Civil Protection, Training, Innovation, Youth Policies and Negotiated Planning. Main objectives achieved: recovery of approximately 20 million euros in arrears of water fees in less than two years; establishment of the environment office; start of preliminary investigations of the Masseria del Pozzo-Schiavi site (with regional/European funds); definition of the vast area of ​​Masseria del Pozzo-Schiavi and start of procedures for the characterization plan; completion, with council measures, of thousands of building amnesty procedures that have been in arrears for over 25 years.
  • Consultant and scientific manager on the topics of water and energy saving (research and reduction of water losses, district division of water distribution networks, analysis and verification and calibration of hydraulic models, differentiated management of water pressures and optimization of hydraulic network systems, etc.) on behalf of public and private bodies and for integrated water service managers.
  • Creator in 2012 of HUB spa, the first joint-stock company for social innovation, with seventy members (professionals, businesses, researchers, teachers, innovators) and an office in Giugliano in Campania, in the heart of the Land of Fires, created with the aim of promoting and experimenting with coworking, digital prototyping and crowdfunding, of supporting startups and of networking, training and research with the best energies and experiences of the country and contributing to relaunching Southern Italy.
  • Coordinator of the drafting activities of the Municipal Urban Plan of the Municipality of Giugliano in Campania as part of the function of Superordinate in the Extraordinary Management assigned by the Prefecture of Naples.
